We are very excited to be launching the New Early Learning and Development Programme from this week @BMAltrincham.  Baby Moons will be piloting this programme with our children and families over the next 2 weeks and other rooms will subsequently follow.

Using the 3Is, Intent, Implement, Impact, we will begin our rollout of the programme.

Intent: what is our goal?

Acknowledging and endeavouring to understand the differences between individual families will be the foundation for building trusting and mutually respectful relationships.  At Banana Moon we see supporting parents in their pursuit to raise their children in an ever-changing world as fundamental to our role.   The entire staff team have had a full training session to gauge an in-depth understanding of the curriculum in order to launch it with our families.

At the centre of good practice when supporting parents, we see communication as the key.  Opportunities for parents to see what their little one is doing via our App is an essential part of our on going parent communication and aims to provide parents/carers the opportunity to then send us home observations - thereby allowing everyone to contribute to your little one's learning and development journey.

An environment that promotes exploration, curiosity and excitement will support a child’s learning and development.

Implementation: How will we achieve this?

Strong parent communication and high quality education in the nursery will be key to the implementation of this programme.  Initially, all parents of Baby Moons will receive a detailed presentation about the programme with the option of speaking to a member of the Management Team at any time to answer any queries.  We will also be removing any formative reports from this point forward, however, observations will continue and will be completed for those WOW moments. 

Impact:  what will be the outcome?

Children are happier in themselves, achieving milestones through a focus on play.  We will be asking for feedback from our families on how they feel about the programme as we progress through this.  

We are really excited to be beginning this journey with our families in preparation for the new EYFS 2021 in September 2021.
